(Love poetry and song)

The Heena presents its color when it is rubbed against a stone. Similarly a person becomes strong after passing though the trouble.

The mind that likes to see something else other than your eyes, may be called a mind but actually it is not a mind.

Is it a head that does not know how to deal with You? Is it a mind that is not full of your thoughts?

Is it a mind? Is it a life? That do not know how to move in love.

If we do not have love in our mind then what to do with our day-to-day deals and our devotion to God?

A person who does not have love in his mind is a dead body. The pumping action of the heating instrument of the black-smith is like a heart but it is not alive. A person without love is like this only.

Sachche Mehaboob Se Kinhi Na Muhobbat Paida,
Yaar Khudgarj Va Manahoos Banaye Tune ||
You did not recognise the friend who can end your worries. You are experiencing all sorrows for the sake of sensual pleasures. You dont love one who is full of love. You are making friends who are selfish and heartless.

Everyone likes to run after the sensual pleasures. He is worthy who offers his mind and life to his best friend.

He who has a dead mind has a weak body. He is not giving any attention to the divine call from within.

One who is in love does not complain. On his lips there is silence. In his mind he is remembering.

He is in love. Love is rising in his heart. Now every pore of his body is thirsty like a Chakora Bird and not only his mouth has thirst.

Let us fix our eyes on the face of our beloved. Let us not say anything in words. Let us shun all external gestures of expressing love. Let us go to new levels of love in our mind everyday. Let us love like a mother loving her child in her womb. If you have love then where is the need of expressing it in words.

Those who are good in making deals, offer their mind to others and accept their love.

He who is full of love is not worried for himself. He is enjoying the essence of goodness. He does not require any external gesture.

Look at the pain, the tears, the uneasiness and the long breath. How to say that I am not comfortable in love.

How wonderful is the experience of pain. If someone applies salt to my wounds then I am relieved as if a medicine has been applied.

Listen Doctor. Go to your home. Our problems cannot be cured at your hands.

Meera is wandering in woods due to pain in her mind. Her pain will end when Lord Krishna will treat her.

You have stolen my heart. Now You say 'OK, Bye, See You'. You have come to see me as I am running sick or You have come to make me more sick.

He who is in love cannot hide his love. Even if no words are uttered, the eyes start pouring.

Something came to my mind. My heart was full upto brim and the tears rolled out. I did not weep for your smile.

Tears cannot extinguish it in any way. Such is the fire burning around my heart.

I have no complaint. I have to plead nothing. I am keeping silent. I got the experience of weeping. Yes I like it. There is only one wish now in my heart. That is, I want to weep in all manners possible. I want to weep through all my expressions. I want to weep once again to wipe out hatred of my mind.

Let us stop smiling. Let us have love for weeping. If we do not weep then how can we meet our beloved?

Let the eye that refuse to weep break.

He who knows the joy of separation does not long for togetherness.

When I am with You, I experience the pangs of separation. When I am not with You, I experience the joy of togetherness. Who says that togetherness is better than separation?

My beloved will go tomorrow. My eyes will die of weeping. O Nature let the night be such that there is no tomorrow.

One who is the reason for my existence is not talking to me. Come now there is no excuse. Otherwise give me a call and say 'Come Here. If You do not have any place for You.'.

My mind is uneasy. I long to see the God. I have given up food, water and sleep. The sensual pleasures are like poison to him who longs for Shri Krishna. He whose mind is full of love neither likes to sleep nor likes to keep awake.

My fortune is gone. Those days are gone. Now You belong to others. I do not have anything now.

Come O Lord Krishna, Let me close you by dropping my eye-lids. Now I wont see at others. I wont allow you to see others.

When asked about the eternal spirit the Vedas keep mum. Look that eternal spirit is with Radha.

That moment was worthwhile. That day was worthwhile. That passed in your thoughts.

Who is more happy than him who has experienced the pangs of love? Who is more free than him?

The sky is telling that this atmospheric is very short lived. The dew-drops weep at the sight of the world. Those persons of royal class who had unlimited colors of happiness in their palaces, are lying in their graves where many trees and bushes have sprang up. Those who made the world shiver by their voice are lying mutely in their graves. Those who were known for their huge empires are today identified by the stones placed on their graves. Therefore let us understand that all our pleasures are transitory.

All above sher and geet were published in an issue of Kalyan that is regulary published by Gita Press, Gorakhpur. The author of the article was Shri Krishnaduttaji Bhatt. The title of the article was Premi Sant Ke Lakshan. We are nowhere compared to the devotion of Kalyan for the sake of humanity. We are presenting this on the web because we feel that visitors will be glad to read these sher and geet.

Thank You.

English Translation

What is seen is not the Truth
What is cannot be said
Trust comes not without seeing
Nor understanding without  words
The wise comprehends with knowledge
To the ignorant it is but a wonder
Some worship the formless God
Some worship His various forms
In what way He is beyond these attributes
Only the Knower knows
That music cannot be written
How can then be the notes
Says Kabir,  awareness alone will overcome illusion

English Translation:

Where do you search me?
I am with you
Not in pilgrimage, nor in icons
Neither in solitudes
Not in temples, nor in mosques
Neither in Kaba nor in Kailash
I am with you O man
I am with you
Not in prayers, nor in meditation
Neither in fasting
Not in yogic exercises
Neither in renunciation
Neither in the vital force nor in the body
Not even in the ethereal space
Neither in the womb of Nature
Not in the breath of the breath
Seek earnestly and discover
In but a moment of search
Says Kabir, Listen with care
Where your faith is, I am there.

The prophet - Khalil Gibran

And to love life through labour is to be intimate with life’s
inmost secret. But if you in your pain call birth an affliction
and the support of the flesh a curse written upon your brow,
then I answer that naught but the sweat of your brow shall
wash away that which is written.
You have been told also that life is darkness, and in your
weariness you echo what was said by the weary. And I say that
life is indeed darkness save when there is urge, And all urge
is blind save when there is knowledge. And all knowledge is
vain save when there is work, And all work is empty save when
there is love;
And when you work with love you bind yourself to yourself,
and to one another, and to God. And what is it to work with
love.
It is to weave the cloth with threads drawn from your heart,
even as if your beloved were to wear that cloth. It is to build a
house with affection, even as if your beloved were to dwell in
that house.
It is to sow seeds with tenderness and reap the harvest with
joy, even as if your beloved were to eat the fruit. It is to charge
all things you fashion with a breath of your own spirit,
And to know that all the blessed dead are standing about you and
watching.
Often have I heard you say, as if speaking in sleep, ‘He who
works in marble, and finds the shape of his own soul in the
stone, is nobler than he who ploughs the soil. And he who
seizes the rainbow to lay it on a cloth in the likeness of man, is
more than he who makes the sandals for our feet.’
But I say, not in sleep, but in the over wakefulness of noontide,
that the wind speaks not more sweetly to the giant oaks
than to the least of all the blades of grass; And he alone is
great who turns the voice of the wind into a song made sweeter
by his own loving.
Work is love made visible. And if you cannot work with love
but only with distaste, it is better that you should leave your
work and sit at the gate of the temple and take alms of those
who work with joy.
For if you bake bread with indifference, you bake a bitter
bread that feeds but half man’s hunger. And if you grudge
the crushing of the grapes, your grudge distils a poison in
the wine. And if you sing though as angels, and love not the
singing, you muffle man’s ears to the voices of the day and the
voices of the night.
